Drive Toward a Cure
For those diagnosed before 50, Parkinson’s brings unique challenges. Drive Toward a Cure is creating pathways to support, understanding, and resilience—together.
Parkinson’s disease is no longer something that only affects older generations. Today, nearly 1 in 5 people living with Parkinson’s are diagnosed before the age of 50, a reality known as Young Onset (Early Onset) Parkinson’s Disease. These individuals often face the same symptoms as older patients—while still building careers, raising families, and planning for futures that suddenly feel uncertain.
At Drive Toward a Cure, we know that Parkinson’s looks different for everyone—and the best way to truly understand its impact is to listen to those living it. That belief inspired both our commitment to Young Onset Parkinson’s support and the creation of a space where individuals can share their stories in their own words – which has become our "Hope in Motion" blog. Some days are difficult, some bring unexpected victories, and all of them are real. Through honesty, humor, resilience, and community, these voices remind us that no one is on this road alone.
Your gift to Drive Toward a Cure’s Young Onset Parkinson’s initiative helps launch and grow our YOPD Grant Fund, providing meaningful, real-world support to individuals and clinics. From support groups and wellness programs to fitness, nutrition, and educational resources, these programs are designed to meet younger patients where they are—offering encouragement and relief during a stage of life that often carries added emotional, financial, and family pressures.
By giving today, you help ensure that those facing Parkinson’s earlier in life feel seen, supported, and surrounded by community—not just today, but for the road ahead.
Thank you for driving hope forward with us.
