There’s a terrible growing trend in the Parkinson’s world – an increasingly common diagnosis touching 20 percent of people living with Parkinson’s disease who are experiencing symptoms before the age of 50 -- Young Onset Parkinson's Disease (YOPD). They're experiencing similar symptoms to older patients, proving that Parkinson’s is no longer just our grandparents' disease.

At Drive Toward a Cure, our mission is to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease research and patient care by expanding our message throughout the automotive community at large, and to help improve the lives of ALL those living with Parkinson’s.

Your contribution to our newest initiative to support Young Onset Parkinson’s will be used to seed our new YOPD Grant Fund, that will help individuals and clinics by providing resources that can assist with ongoing support groups, fitness, nutritional programs, guidance, and more. We want to let these younger patients know they are not alone.

Younger Parkinson’s patients often have a complex additional set of needs, as they may still be establishing their own independent lives or possibly raising a young family before having saved for their futures, bringing untold complications and pressure.
