Hope in Motion

by Drive Toward a Cure | April 21, 2026

During Parkinson’s Awareness Month, it’s important to recognize that early-onset Parkinson’s isn’t only represented by well-known advocates like Michael J. Fox. It lives much closer to home—in our communities, among friends and neighbors, former classmates, young parents navigating both family life and a diagnosis, and individuals who may not yet feel ready to share their journey. Early-onset Parkinson’s often arrives quietly and unexpectedly, reshaping lives at a stage when few anticipate it, and too often, those affected carry the weight in silence.

That’s why the voices of those who have stepped forward matter so deeply. The individuals who have shared their stories through our “Hope in Motion” blog are doing more than telling their truth—they’re creating a path for others. Their openness helps lift the stigma, offers practical insight, and reminds anyone facing a diagnosis that they are not alone. Our hope is that this space continues to grow as a trusted, welcoming resource—one that fosters connection, understanding, and strength for all those navigating Parkinson’s, especially those just beginning to find their voice.

We invite you to be part of that movement. Share the “Hope in Motion” blog with someone who may need it, start a conversation, or simply help broaden its reach. And if you are a Parkinson’s champion—whether living with the disease, supporting a loved one, or working within the community—we welcome your voice. This is an inclusive space and a friendly home, and by contributing your story or perspective, you help ensure that others feel seen, supported, and empowered to step forward when they’re ready.

Let’s keep moving and thriving together as we share “Hope in Motion.”
