Drive Toward a Cure
This summer we hope you’ll join Drive Toward a Cure in supporting Joey Andrews "The Stiglette" in the NASA SoCal Teen Mazda Challenge, as well as Joey's mission to raise support and awareness for Parkinson's Disease.
This year, Joey Andrews has made the step up from karts to cars. He is driving a Spec Miata for Hicks Motorsports in the NASA Teen Mazda Challenge. Joey’s move to cars follows what fellow racers called “Joey’s breakout year”– In his rookie year racing in Tri-C Karters, he finished 3rd in the LO206 Senior class, in addition to many other achievements.
Joey is 18 years old and has lived in Los Angeles for his entire life. His motorsports journey started at 11 when he started watching Top Gear and wanted to be the next Stig. He then came up with the nickname “The Stiglette.”
In December 2018, Joey hosted his first charity event, a Toy “Drive” benefiting Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Joey became a Rising Star for Drive Toward A Cure in 2022 and hosted a fundraiser drive through the canyons in Malibu.
Aside from his TOP goal for 2022 being to WIN in the NASA Teen Mazda Challenge, Joey is proud to be one of Drive Toward a Cure's Rising Stars. Joey finished on the podium in his first ever Spec Miata race and continues showing big improvements every weekend.
With a little hard work (and a bit of luck!), we're sure 2023 will be a success for Joey and Drive Toward a Cure!
